Yeah!!! Summer is finally here. Brings back memories from the Summer of 1980 that I spent with a special someone at Atlantic Beach, NC. Went there last week to visit. It was hard because I learned she had past away in 1989 and I didn't know until I tried to find her. No one let me know. The beauty of the area took me back and I focused on the sweet things and let the sound of the ebb and flow of the tide take me away. I saw her walking on the beach, watched her ride her Arabian Stallion at Equestrian competitions, could even picture us on the balcony at the condo drinking Real Sangria in the evening breeze. Got moved enough that the Richard Marx song, "Endless Summer Nights", started to gently play in my head and heart. It was beautiful. But now I have to say goodbye or it will tear me apart inside. I hope she is resting in peace. I am still trying to find peace for my heart. Make memories and keep the good ones.
