Wow, I said Love Me and people did! I love this site already! What an amazing community that I am so happy to be a part of.
So, I am moving to Anchorage, Alaska in the middle of June. I'm bringing along Hippie Steve for the ride. We're thinking about writing a book detailing our adventure, which would be an awesome project. I like to call myself a photographer so I'd be taking pictures to put in the book. Even if it doesn't get published, it will at least be a great addition to my portfolio. I toured Europe in January and got some amazing pictures, and also I shot my sister's wedding, so I'm building block by block here. I'd like to get some interviews from people who know Steve and I about past travels and misadventures if possible. I know Goob has some great stories, and maybe Rich and Gadget do as well, so let me know! There's one specific trip I can recall in which Goob, Steve, me, and Devo went canoe camping...oh my. "There's something wrong with my brain and I think it's Michelob!" I can also recall some pretty nasty nipple burn and an image of Steve sitting on a log doing *something* that I can't get out of my brain. Good times, good times.
Interesting fact:
Lichens are actually symbiotic relationships between an alga and a fungus, and only certain algaes and fungis are compatible with eachother. An interesting form of lichen is Cladina evansii, which grows in sandy soiled areas of North America, like Louisiana and Florida. They look like little snowballs. Goob and I saw these weird little things on our trip to New Orleans last year.
