Three Police Officers were shot last Tuesday when they stopped a car because the people inside were acting suspicious. One had a gun on him.
One of the Officers died that day-probably right away since he was shot right in the face-, another died yesterday. I just found out about the Officer that died yesterday after watching the funeral procession (most of it) for the first Officer via his memorial page.
We may be the second biggest city in the state, but we're still small enough that this sort of sent everyone reeling. Ok, not sort of, it sent us reeling.
I've cried over it several times. I was crying alot while I watched the funeral procession and just flat burst into tears when I read that the second Officer died. Two out of three. Deaths come in threes. Anyone who's worked in a nursing home knows that- probably anyone who's worked in any sort of long term care facility.
Let's hope this case is an exception to the rule.
They're not going to be able to have the prick's trial in town, that's for sure. We all want the prick to get the needle. All of us.
