What crazy plans do you have for bringing in the New Year? On one hand, the people that do the Polar Bear club swims are awesome, and that looks way fun. On the other ... they are insane and in need of help.

Speaking of insane, Im finally awake and alert again after working almost non-stop for several days straight. Sleep is for wimps! You'd think I was tweeking, but my days of wacky substances are long gone. Actually, sleep isn't for wimps. When I crashed out early yesterday afternoon I was down for the night.

I usually do New Years at a local hole-in-the-wall bar with cheap pitchers of Newcastle Brown. Its about two miles away. In a lot of ways New Years Eve parties are pretty silly. Everyone gets really excited about counting down from 10! Woo hoo ... wait, what comes after 7?

New Years is really just calendar change day. I think we should also party this hard when we have to change the clocks forward and back. Ive never forgotten to change the calendar, but Ive forgotten to change a clock!

The best part of New Years is nibbling every square inch of skin on a woman I just met an hour earlier, but I dont think thats gonna happen tonight!

The year end news stories are always interesting. The years seem to fly by, but when you sit down and think about everything that happened, its been a long year. The end of year celeb obituary list is an interesting way of remembering just how long the year has really been. ABC news has a great month-by-month listing ABC News.
