The Lovemakers seriously need to release their new cd already. The first time I saw them, opening for The Prids at the now-defunct Voodoo Lounge, they blew the half-dozen or so people in attendance away, despite (or perhaps because of) half their set being Cure covers. Last Friday I saw them play to a VERY packed crowd at Cafe Du Nord and they've done nothing but improve. I've been hearing them play the new songs for over a year, and they all rule. They all make you dance, one or two have kickass violin solos, one out-Princes Prince, and all make you sing along even though you don't know the words yet. And sure, I sound like a lame PR person, but I need to be able to hear the new stuff any time I want!

Anyway, (there's another one of those overused words!) I wasn't planning on going to New Order but mainly that is because I just assumed it was sold out by now. I'm not going to Coachella so I might look into that. I am, however, going to see M83 on Thursday as long as tickets are still around by the time I get to that site today on my internet travels. Any plans to go see them? Really think ya should!
