I'm still obsessing over the excellence of the new Rilo Kiley cd. It's mellower than their older stuff, but man is it good. Anyway, nothing much has happened recently. I'm still looking for a job, but fortunately my cd-selling pseudo-business on eBay has provided me with enough money in the past few weeks for this month's rent and more!
Still, a real job would be great.
I'm going to L.A. this weekend with my friend Jade, to stay with one of her friends. It's a pretty random trip, but since I've never hung out in L.A. (just driven through it), I think it might be pretty fun. Right after I said I'd go, she decided to cut and style my hair (fortunately she's good), so gone are the long greasy locks that clogged my pores, and I've welcomed the shorter, layered, easier-to-manage coif. (This was really just an excuse to type "coif", one of my favorite words.)
Next Monday I'll be seeing The Helio Sequence at Cafe Du Nord, followed by Moving Units on Friday! Thank you, eBay, for supporting my concert habit, which is kinda like crack but... um... less rocky.
