So I'm sitting here in the radio station I DJ at (if you want to listen, visit KCSC; I'm on from 6-8 wednesdays and play good stuff..) and I figured that I'd update this thing since I haven't been online for several days.
this past weekend found me attending a few shows: Saturday a few local bands played in a show sponsored by the radio station, and on Sunday a Portland post-rock (or some genre like that) called Swords (formerly Swords Project) played. They sounded like Mogwai with more vocals and violin. Fucking awesome...
All these shows, of course, are nothing in the vast shadow of the upcoming Coachella festival. That veritable orgy of music will be like my Woodstock. Just thinking about it gets me excited...
