Some people are iffy about peeing in the shower - at least publicly (the position, not the act). This reservation does not make sense. Pee coming straight out of the human body is pretty much sterile, so there are no hygienic concerns. Especially since it is washed straight down the drain. In fact, there are probably more germs, bacteria and other nastiness crawling around on your average bar of soap than there are in a cup of pee (provided it was a clean cup).
It also makes perfect economic and ecological sense. Isn't one of the age-old basic economic principles that time is money? Well then, peeing in the shower saves time because it doesn't require a separate trip to the toilet. And it makes ecological sense as well because that trip you saved also saves water. If you use the toilet, you have to flush afterwards (*) - that's about 10 litres right there. In the shower, you are already using the water.
To sum up: peeing in the shower is clean, cheap and responsible. Undoubtedly, Al Gore agrees and acts accordingly.

(*) Contrary to certain people's beliefs, it is not okay to not flush after you peed - even if you only went a little and it was very clear. That's just nasty, that is.
