My job is like acting. It IS acting. I become the person my passengers want me to be. That is how I get tipped well. If they are bigots though, I draw the line at joining them. Actually I don't speak to bigots.
I had some awesome "living-large" people hire me for two hours last night. The two hours consisted of their drinking lots of expensive wine, chain smoking Cubans, and trading dirty humour. It was really fun. They just wanted the best of everything our city had to offer. I did my part. For the sake of humour they got a shot of me pretending to chug wine from one of their bottles as I drove them around. Yep. They tipped me forty bucks CDN, then thought about it, and handed me another American hundred dollar bill. I got my sweet horse some gourmet treats, and went out for a scotch.
I'm completing a Science program this year that is a lot more technical, and geared towards practical work. I'm really excited about it.
Oh yeah, and I went to see Beck on Thursday. Really, really fun show.
Going hiking tomorrow, and also hanging with some pigs. Thank gods the sun is back.
