Now this is just getting outrageous.

Did you hear about the guy who was stopped at the border yesterday? They confiscated a protractor, compass, calculator, and mechanical pencil.

Then they arrested him for possessing weapons of Math Instruction.

I'm surveying piping plovers in Alberta, near the sask border. We are also putting exclosures (metal cages essentially) over nests so coyotes, crows or other predators are less likely to gobble up the eggs.
Monitoring the adults, and young (chicks just started hatching this last trip out). That's what sort of surveying I get to do.
