While I like the idea of seeing it for my birthday (which is on the 11th by the way, but we'll get to that), it's a week of hearing people going on about it...
In a sense, I've been caught up in the hype. I've recently completed reading it for the 3rd time, and it's only now that I'm starting to get why the Graphic Novel has such a cult status and is celebrated world wide. I really hope the film matches the comic. If anything, the movie has given me the kick ass poster I now have on my wall.

Keeping with the film talk... Ironman 2. And all of the films in between of course.
I recently found out two things that both excite and disappoint me.
- #1. Samual L "Mother fuckin'" Jackson, may or may not continue his role as Nick Fury in the new film (and all other planned appearances). This pisses me off. A) Because he's already started running the sweet, sweet nectar tap that Marvel has dangled in front of us, B) He's self proclaimed "Comic Nerd" and C) They based Fury off the fucker in the Ultimate line, I guess what I'm saying is that pretty much confirms that you HAVE to do it...
- #2. Scarlett Johansson is near dead set to replace Emily Blunt as Black Widow in the sequal to Ironman. No point telling you why this would be "tent popping" excitement.
Pretty good reason to post this again...
Aye, that's what I said.
So I had loads I wanted to talk about...what next.
Yeah, so, the 11th of March will mark my 23rd Birthday *cough Wishlist cough*. It's on a Wednesday this year, so I've taken the 11th, 12th & 13th off, also the 16th (the following Monday) which gives me a nice 6 day break from work etc. Should be great. After work on Tuesday, i'll be meeting up with a buddy of mine and getting drunk. It's his birthday on the 9th, so it's matches up quite well. Wednesday, my actual birthday, I have no real plans. I guess it depends if Sarah is working or not as to whether I see her, but it might turn out to be a quiet day. Thursday, I'll be going to see the mighty Gojira ("All The Tears" Video). Really awesome band. Seen them before, and they were amazing. So I can't wait.
Saturday should mean that Sarah and I, possibly Causy & dead_pixel_photo, will be travelling down to Manchester for the SGUK meet. Should be alot of fun as it's Ortus_Redux' Birthday and he's decided to make it an "Alt Ego" night, where we all need to turn up dressed as our alter egos. That is, if we find somewhere near/cheap enough to sleep for the night. Developments will come soon no doubt.
Valentines day was rather awesome this year. It wasn't expensive. It wasn't energetic (well, most of it ) It was just a great day with Sarah and I lounging about watching films and eating crap. It was nice just to have time to ourselves. Money had a little to do with things, but we had decided to make something for each other instead of splashing out money (apart from the Chocs and Roses I got her
). I was very pleased with my card I made her, and it made her laugh. She seemed to like her picture frame with lots of "in jokes" and things only we would get, pictures etc. Weirdly enough, we pretty much came up with the same idea, so I now have two frames with some pics I don't even remember. I love them to bits. Great times, great memories, great woman.
It also marked our "One year and five day Anniversary" seeing that we "officially" started going out on the 9th Feb. It's strange thinking that it's only been a year, and at the same time, I wonder where the time has gone.
I do love her, despite the outrageously, over the top card she made me. I do worry about her sometimes. Glitter everywhere!
I do love her.
I'm looking forward to Friday.
Glasgow's GFT Fright Fest starts again, and I have tickets for the Friday and the Saturday. I'm really looking forward to seeing "Outlander" in particular. Just seems right up my street. It's seems that Sarah, myself and a couple of friends of ours have taken this to be our "Regular thing". We haven't missed one in a while, and I can't see it happening either.
That's about it. Pretty much everything off the top of my head is now in Blog form. So I'll bid you all "Good Night".
