Well, this is going to be a pretty lack luster journal in all respects. My new PC doesn't have any photo editing software, so I have no pics of my tattoo to show you all just yet. I've also been trying to sort out my file transfers to get my music/pics/videos off my old HDD to my new one, however Vista has a crazy array of security and ownership issues, I've pretty much tried everything apart from doing it file by files, which would drive me crazy. it's upsetting me thinking I might have to grin and bare it... 
So in the mean time, I've been downloading (what? I'm poor, shutup
) a few albums to keep my company.
Further to my worries, I had a car issue (financially I still do) which scared me shitless. Basically I was travelling down the motorway with half a tire, with Sarah in the passenger seat. As you can tell, nothing happened, which was very lucky, but this was how it happened. We must have went over a massive pot hole, as when I got the AA guy out (due to a funny noise on the way home) he advised me that the scraping noise was half my wheel on concrete. If the other half of the tire fell off, well fuck...
So basically the pot hole busted my front drivers side coil spring, which somehow jammed into my tyre ripping half of it off. Once it got into the garage, they said the back coil spring had gone too...
Brilliant! So, with the price of two new springs, a new tyre and a brake fluid change, a nice bill of 314 landed on my lap. Luckily my mum paid for it with her card, so i need to pay her back bit by bit asap...
It's just really not needed. What with my finances at the moment. Pretty much all my money goes out of my account as soon as I get it. It's going to be a bloody long 12 months, at which point things will get much, much better as i'll start finishing payments etc.
It's a pain, I have so many things I want to do. Finish my half-sleeve, start snowboarding. Those things can wait I suppose. What I really want to do is move out into a flat with Sarah. This is something we've been thinking about and pretty much decided to go for it. Sure, in relationship terms, ours is pretty new, little over 3 months or so, but we've known each other for ten years. TEN FREAKING YEARS... I think that's pretty awesome.
So my plan is to sell my car. I don't REALLY need it. Sure, I live outside of Glasgow, but there are buses, trains (if I get a lift to the station), so by selling the car, I get a lump some to clear alot of my debt, my petrol/maintenance costs disappear and my travel costs would half. Currently I use my car at weekends, and to drive to the train station when i'm working. So on top of my car I'm spending about 80 on trains every month. I could get the bus for about half that every month. Sure, the bus would take a little longer, but not by much.
So you see, this is really the smartest option I have. I'll miss having the car for sure, but when Sarah and I get a flat, I would pretty much be able to walk (if not a small train/tube ride) to all the places I want to be.
So yeah, that's my plans so far. I'm really looking forward to having my own place. Tiny things are getting to me at home. Mum only has to ask a favour these days for me to go off in a rampage, which isn't good. Still, I wish she'd lay off a bit.
Plenty of gigs that I've got coming up. How I'll afford them I have no idea. I might need to miss a couple which is a bit gutting. We'll see.
Anyway, as I say, bit of a bore this journal. I'll hopefully get some photos etc asap. As soon as I've sorted my HDD problem and lack of software.
