Oh boy! What a great long weekend! It was such a great time. Much thanks to MissBernie for letting us stay at her house, sleep in her bed, and making us breakfast!
Here's the thing...the pictures aren't ready, but I'm updating anyway...
OK< Thursday, we drove to Detroit to pick up Kira and PhrougBhouy. Drove to RedViolet's hotel where a naked party was going on. And then went to MissBernie's house to sleep.
Friday morning MissBernie made us a super delicious breakfats and we pretty much just fucked around until it was time to go to the wedding. We thought we were goign to be late, but we were just in time. The place that Stirfry and EmoJulie got married was very awesome. It was an outdoor gazeebo next to a waterfall. It was a nice small and quick ceremony. And then off to the reception which was just about perfect.
Saturday morning we got a hold of Hypercrew and hooked up with him and went to EmoJulie's mom's house for a day-after brunch. There lots of great food. But it was soooo good seeing Hypercrew again, he is doing so great and I'm glad to have him home. We gave him a banner that Missy made at work and had all of the SG people at the wedding sign. Even some people signed it which was cool.
Then it was on the road again to drop Kira and PhrougBhouy off in Detroit. After that we stopped by Royal Oak to see Broken Flowers. It was very very good, but I think a lot of the audience was expecting a different kind of movie and were disappointed. Fuck 'em, I say.
On Sunday we went to the Zoon! It was Missy's first time going to the one here in town. It was a lot of fun, we pettet goats and cows. Missy petted a cute walaby and we both fed birds with a stick. We even bought my mom a birthday present in the gift shop. After that we ate lunch at The Black Rose, a neat Irish tavern downtown. Stopped by Purple East and picked up some insence and then looked around the neighborhood at houses for sale. We picked up a bunch of flyers, and one of them is having an open house tonight and I think I'm goignt o go. Missy is working and I'd liek to have her with me, but I can't. It's a cool looking house form the pictures, so we'll see how it goes....
It was long, tiring, but very enjoyable extended weekend. And now I would like to thank everyone, in no particular order, who made it possible:
