i have realized recently that complacency isn't always good. expectations should be higher i feel. is that neurotic of me? to always have the need for something more? maybe i am just giving things too much thought...

expectations for yourself are fantastic, as long as you set them based on your fluctuating personal best...
your best will change from time to time. you do better when you're well as opposed to when you're sick, for instance...
all you can do is your best at any given time, and you will have that feeling of satisfaction, and avoid the undue stress of regrets.
