So I went to the piercing parlor/tattoo shop on Tuesday with my dearest Rose. It was quite a lovely trip. We had a good talk on the way home about my boy situation and she had a lot of helpful things to say. I grew some balls and decided to tell Joe how I feel. I sent him a message saying:
"Hey, I miss you and I don't like that we never talk anymore. You're a good guy and I'd like to have you in my life. If you're ever bored you should give me a call. It would be nice to see you".
I sent that at 6:30 and didn't get a response all night. Midnight came around and I figured I wouldn't get one. I didn't really care at that point because I was happy with the fact that I at least told him. I put it out on the table and if he didn't care to respond or whatever, then fine. So as I was getting ready for bed (at 2:30 am) I got a response. It read:
"yeah I could do that... I'm surprised that you want to talk to me still"
So I responded with:
"lol. Didn't I tell you I don't hold grudges? I don't blame ya anyway. I'm surprised you answered my message"
Followed with his reply of:
"To not have would be rude"
That one got me. I was thinking to myself 'so is he only replying because he doesn't want to be rude"?
Then I said:
"Well no pressure. You don't have to talk to me, but I'm sure you know that. How have you been anyway"?
He said that he's alright and asked me how I've been. It sort of trailed off after that. That's expected though. He's not much of a talker in the first place, and especially not in a text message conversation.

Sooooo... I'm just glad that he knows that I don't hate him and that I'd actually like to see him. I'm hoping he'll ask me to hang out sometime or something. Maybe go for a late night drive like we used to or whatever. I won't be calling him though. I think that would look desperate after that initial "I miss you" message. lol.
