This "War on Porn" thing has me miffed.
I'm not even from the states, but since SG is located there I have to deal with really dumb, wasteful, and patronizing laws that under most other circumstances -- wouldn't affect me.
The premise of it is so horribly backwards (read: head up ass). The exploiters are certainly not ones to try to stop exploitation. Especially when a large part of what they're trying to stop is really concensual and not exploitation.
Besides, aren't lawyers supposed to be specific? What's with these "broad sweeping laws" that keep coming into force down there in little ol US of A? Are the great education elites not receiving the education they think they are?
My guess is they spend to much time tooting their own horn.
I propose a mass propagation of the erotic culture industries to more free-speech friendly countries.
See how much the US would enjoy that dent in their economy.
