I've had my typewriter for almost a week now. And a box of old records. My mother will be delivering the last of the stuff my grandfather left for me... his pipes, and a few antiques.

I like having this little corner of old stuff. Helps me relax and gets me away from the computer for a while. I also find I write a lot better on a typewriter.

Of course it's a little creepy since well.. the first time I put my fingers to the keys, I could feel him in it. And yes, the first thing I typed was a letter to him. Thought I'd let the old man know just how much he meant to me.

Anyway, he also left me his cap. It's the first hat that fits me and looks good all at the same time. Though when I wear it with a certain outfit, I want to grab a broom and start singing "chim-chimeny."
