I must say... a park bench under a tree and across from a yacht club shipyard is a peaceful place to read a book and snooze in the lazy heat of summer. I started getting hungry and so sat up, but never wanted to leave. At least not in that moment.
So my weekend of relaxing and recharging is going well so far I think. I so far have spent a relaxed evening with some friends on a deck with a couple drinks and a bbq. Then today woke up late alone in Em's beautiful apartment. I spent some quality time fixing breakfast, reading, toying, and snuggling (while trying to read) with her cat.
Then once the peak of the day had past (in terms of the sun), I said farewell the the cat and came back to my apartment where I dropped off some stuff, and headed to the park.
And now I'm hear, fixing some supper and writing... trying to avoid thinking about all the things that worry me right now. They are undeniably there however, and it's like sitting on the very edge of night at a standstill. I merely have to look over my shoulder and see the dark and dreary.
Ugh.
