Ok so new job.. pretty darn cool.
The sucky part? (there's always one, isn't there...)
Money.And not enough of it.
I was kinda hoping I'd get paid for the 3 and a half weeks I've put in so far on the 30th when my offer letter said I'd get my first cheque. This was not the case apparently. I got 1 week of pay (and a measely week at that).
1 week!
So I called my boss promptly and asked him what was going on. I told him I was in a shitty situation (ie: my friends have been buying me groceries and lending me money to do my laundry, catch the bus, etc) and that I was hoping this first paycheque would alleviate such pressures.
Pressures like not paying rent yet this month, and owing another on the 1st. Other pressures include a $400 bill for phone/internet, $833 for 2 months of loan payments (I haven't been able to make my payment this month either), $220 I still owe my lawyers, $150 I owe my mom's bf, and we still haven't gotten to me.. the thing in my life that needs food to live and soap to keep from smelling gross.
All in all, I was expecting like around $2g's yesterday. I was kind of stoked about it... then I saw $493. Not what I expected. In fact, I think I heard my heat landing on the floor.
And while my boss was more than kind enough to help me along by advancing me some pay... it's still nothing compared to what I need. So more people are going to have to wait as I spread what cash I have out to all of them. Hopefully maybe by next paycheque I can clear my name and...
*drumroll*
Think about other things!
