Clarity is a great motivator.
My kitty tried to escape twice today. Thankfully she didn't make it past the backyard. I will dread the day when she gets a little more adventurous. I did chide her, but a little while later I put her on her leash and we spent some time outside together. She had fun stalking through the garden and met a squirrel. I read a book and assisted her in freeing her leash from entanglements.
Cats... they're awesome creatures.
I started back in training again this week. I feel like I am finally opening my eyes to the Goju-Ryu style. The movements are starting to make sense to my body. Open, close. Contract, expand. I can feel fluidity and strength in the kata now replacing the stiff awkwardness of the beginner's body. The path has only begun.
