Been researching my family tree, and its totaly comsuming, and interesting. I can only find info on my french background so far, its like all my other family never existed, but i've traced my last name (Guyon) back to the year 1033. Some famous people have come from this blood line, maybe abit distant, and removed from myself, but they are there all the same.

Louis Pasteur - Microbiologist and Chemist who invented pasteurization
Hockey player Maurice "Rocket" Richard
James Matthew Barrie - wrote the stories of Peter Pan and The Lost Boys
Tom Landry - Football player, head coach
A few Prime Ministers of Canada

Jack Kerouac - Beatnik writer
James Dean - Actor
Jean Jacques Rousseau - French philosopher, who was highly influential in the French revolution
In my search I found a first name I really like, Mathurin.
