Jupiter's cyclops winks at me. Yeah, He know who's driving.
Some minor annoyances aside the trip was fucking awsome. I love to fly, it puts me in a almost euphoric state. Staring out the window making shapes out of the clouds. Memories of childhood when I was totaly carefree, and the only thing holding me back was my own imagination that had no boundaries. There was a three or four year old boy sitting behind me on the flight down. Befor take off he keep saying "I don't have a good feeling about this" "This dosen't feel right" "I don't think I like this". I take a look around me and the uptight people seemed very nervous, figeting with belt buckels and such. Everytime he said something my smile got bigger and bigger. Thank you little prophet of gloom and doom, you will be remembered fondly, and you also shut up the lady with the hyena laugh
The ATL is ok I guess, its a smokers nightmare though. No smoking in restaurants, even some of the bars. Went out to eat at this brazilian steak house. It was a carnys paradise. The servers come to table with three foot long skewers of every type of meat and carve it right there. It was a four star restaurant and we are there in skull and slayer t-shirts sitting beside the suits and ties...fucking funny. Holly's dad bought a nice twenty-five foot boat, we took it out on the lake and drank some befor the show.
Thine eyes bleed opened the show they were good. Next was the guitar shreding of Children of Bodom. Mastodon didn't get a very warm welcome in their home town, I thought they were good. Then......then Lamb of God kicked us all in the fucking teeth. They were already one of my favs befor seeing them live, they are the shit. Then the evil gods that are Slayer took the stage. I have seem them five times befor, but this time I have to say was the best, just for the stage show. They had a screen across the back of the stage...images of demons, blood, guts, gore, skulls, bombing churchs, nazi's, pentagrams....I had that warm fuzzy feeling
The best was they took all their marshall cabinets and strung them up from the roof making two huge inverted crosses
One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Just got my voice back today
