So it's been a few months since I wrote anything in my blog and figured I should break the silence with a few words.
I've been trying to get use to the new site and to be honest I'm still not sure about it. It seems slower than the old one and I've tried running it on both my PC and my iMac, also in different browsers but seem the get the same kind of response times across the board. To be really honest it's getting me to a point of considering whether to renew my upcoming membership or not.
Moving right along. Right now I'm almost half way through two weeks of annual leave from work. It's the first time in 7 years that I've taken more than 4 days off work. It doesn't stop them from trying to contact me every day for advice or approval to do something, which kind of annoys me as there's a state manager that's meant to be taking care of all of that while I'm on leave.
Tomorrow morning I jump on a plane to Sydney to see my older kids for a few days, which I'm looking forward to as I haven't seen them since July. It doesn't sound like that long ago, but I only get to spend 2 days at a time with them before I have to head back to Hobart. I love Sydney and really miss it sometimes, but my life here in Hobart doesn't really allow me to escape that much, but that's a tale for another time.
