At around 11pm on New Years Eve night, I came across a Belted Kingfisher that had just broken his wing. Sooo, as a friend once put it, "my bleeding heart for anything fuzzy" had me forgo the second party for the night and take him in. Of course the little punk didn't appreciate it at all. After two days living in the comfort and luxury of my laundry room, he is now safely at the wildlife rescue. I was told he will make a full recovery.
