So...craptastic apartments....what more can I say? My boyfriend, his little sister and I moved into a new apartment because people were getting shot up in our last one (hello ghetto). We find this cute complex, look at the apartment, and it's perfect. We move in that Friday. That Saturday our ceiling in the bathroom started leaking. I noticed it would only leak when the people above us would take a shower so I figured their tub had a leak or something. I call maintenance...they don't come by. I call again the next day...they don't come by. By this time mold is starting to form on my ceiling. Within 48 hours the mold is BLACK and is taking over half my ceiling. Finally the maintenance guy comes out and say he has to check the apartment above us. Alrighty. He comes back down and tells us their hot water heater is leaking and that the entire carpet within a 7 foot radius around the water heater is soaked. So, my next question is, why the fuck didn't they call the office to report it? Ugh. I personally believe they should be evicted for letting it go FOREVER. Did they ever plan on calling it in, or did they just want to fall through into my apartment first? Imbeciles. Now my ceiling isn't leaking anymore. It's patched up and the mold is gone, but it's ugly, ugly, ugly. Evils. Here is my wonderful ceiling (when it was still leaking). It makes me feel dirty just looking at them now.
