And again: So I didn't like WildEyed 'cause it's so far down on the alphavet and I didn't want to dissapear on everyone's friends list. So now I'm going to see how Esme treats me....

Hey honey, thanks for the sweet message. Getting my Visa for the States has been a total disaster, and I have been dicked around and lied to every step of the way.
BUT! I _might_ have had a break thru.. my flight is on Thursday (3 days eeek ) and I probably won't know til Wednesday if they'll let me on board or not.
Keep your fingers crossed for me - I've stocked up on thermals and fleeces and jackets, so I'm good to go wink
I hope I get to meet you... maybe next week?!
kiss

Very jealous of the European tour experience. I went to 20 or so shows of the Sound + Vision Tour in 91/92. He was supposedly retiring the old songs. That idea died w/ the second Tin Machine album.

I did get to hang out with him on two occasions. My old band played a bunch of 2nd stage dates on the '91 Lollapalooza and he hung out at the NY/NJ shows. He and Perry Ferrell together and three feet away talking art. Best nights of my life.

Sadly, I work too much to follow any tours now. But I can now afford to but his art, so I guess it's not all bad.

Took a little field trip today. Let me tell you, kids: the Chicago Police Department Records Division makes the DMV look like a fucking expenses-paid trip to Amsterdam.
Then I stopped at a Subway (the sandwich shop, not the method of transportation) where they had BULLETPROOF GLASS shielding me from the vegetables. I'm really going to have to think twice before I tell someone I...

So I've been reading a lot of math books lately. Not textbooks, but paperback books about mathematicians that are part history, part gossip, and part lay-person's illustrations of the math they were doing.
Yesterday, on the bus to work, I came across this brainteaser that apparantly caused quite a fuss about fifteen years again among popular mathematicians.
It goes like this:
So you're on Let's...

I would switch, in most cases, that is the hint from Monty or the host in general that you didn't pick the right answer. Regis used to hint all the time on Who Wants to be a Millionaire if the contestant chose the wrong answer. smile

Seems like it's time for an update--but nothing's really up, so here's the first 1,000 words of so of the memoir I'm working on from my time in England.

Constructive criticism is more than welcome.

Expensive. Very, very expensive. (Not for me specifically...just in general. A very...upscale...mall.)

I still haven't had a chance to read this. I will. I promise. I just have a few things to get done before I can devote the time and concentration to it that it deserves.

So I'm tossing around the idea of applying to be an SG. Which is hardly monumental, but I thought I'd share.

Edited to add that my day, despite being productive (I wrote all morning, resized some photos of my paintings so that I can print them for a real live portforlio, and mailed a painting that I sold to a very nice boy in...

Shit, man, Ohio's gettin' the smack down from me. Who the hell is this Badnarick cunt? Or Peroutka, for that matter? (OK, never mind about them. I was doing crapppy math. They don't really matter. Bah)

So I went to court this morning. Nothing to write home about--I had a little chat with an assistant to the State's Attorney. She told me the case is...

All right, enough with the complaining. Life is good. I'm making some decent money at the rest-y-rant, I get to move into my art studio today and I've got Regi comin' through the speakers right now. What more can a girl ask for? Huh? smile

What's your favorite color? Be creative.

Jeebus, I am so slow. I had no idea about your huh. surreal I read all about C's and M's and just go about my merry way, whistling and thinking I'm smart. Duh.

My imagination is totally colour-based, I love it. I see everything in my head in a combination of hues.
Meditation is usually yellow and blue - basic sun and sky/sea. Yellow is a combination of heat, warmth, calm, it draws all the bad out. Blue is sanity, peace, it sweeps in and puts the good stuff back together in me. Blue is my favourite colour (or, since I need to write Americanese pretty soon, favorite color).
White is the breath I draw in, I exhale black. Orgasms are magenta smile
Hey, I'm a weirdo.
