Took a little field trip today. Let me tell you, kids: the Chicago Police Department Records Division makes the DMV look like a fucking expenses-paid trip to Amsterdam.
Then I stopped at a Subway (the sandwich shop, not the method of transportation) where they had BULLETPROOF GLASS shielding me from the vegetables. I'm really going to have to think twice before I tell someone I live in a bad neighborhood again.
Now I am going to go make dinner for M and me. We will be having an herb and goat cheese tart, tomatoes with balsamic vinagrette and Kalamata olive oil, and Godiva chocolate-with-chocolate hearts ice cream and Bailey's for dessert. Yum.
