I'm not sure if this has happened to you but it's happened a couple of times recently and I thought was interesting.

2007 saw my return to reading... Not so much that I stopped reading all together but I kind of had about 4 years off.

I only discovered reading after I graduated from high school in 2000, mainly because nobody was forcing me to do it(Stubbornness is one of my better qualities.)
So I started to read A LOT toward the end of 2001 till sort of the beginning of 2003. Then all of a sudden "I didn't have the time."
I constantly read magazines and websites. Hell one night I got lost in Wikipedia(The pillar of truth that it is) for 5 hours and only realised I had done so when I looked at the clock: 5:36am. But no books.

I digress...

So last year after the end of the most rewarding and eye opening relationship of my life so far(I learned a lot.) I read Marilyn Manson's biography. Of all the people I expect to feel a kinship with, he was the last person on earth I would have expected. The book was written/edited by/with Neil Strauss. So I read The Game and more recently The Rules Of The Game(Yes I am). And I've felt a very strong connection with the internal dialogue of both of these people. Do you find that happens a lot with certain people's, particularly autobiographical, writing; or is it just me? And who is it for you?

My 'To read' pile(I have this strange rule that books can't live on my bookshelf till they've been read.)

I really enjoyed reading Marilyn Manson's biography... I used to think he was just a tall skinny guy with too much makeup on, now I actually respect him for his intelligence (plus his music videos are awesome). I'm reading Crime & Punishment just now, and a bunch of books on psychiatric nursing for school. Ugh!
