Saw The Shins tonight. Good band. Kevin is a nice guy. We talked about their three shows at the Bowery Ballroom. He told a great story about the bouncer (more info than was in the article in "The Scene"). He's got a great voice.
I felt real out of touch at the show, but for once I went to the Beachland Ballroom and did not run into an ex. It was surprizing since there was a lame chick band opener. I just get too introspective at the shoegazer shows. I'd rather see some hardcore and hurt someone or get the shit kicked out of me. Thatt at least seems more real.
