So as a door in my life just got slammed in my face another door opened up, leading me on a path I thought was closed off to me many many years ago. I have always wanted to have a career that I can help out people and the community. It does sadden me that people who want to go this path are so under paid. When I was joining the navy I was split on two fields, medical and computers. I picked computers to later find out that was not a good choice, now the National Guard has given me the chance to go into the medical field. With about a year training I will walk out and be able to work at any hospital that has a job opening for my career. This will also open doors for me to help out in my community, and even do stuff like doctors without borders. The other amazing thing is that my bonus I get plus the time I spend in training I will have easily pained off all my bills and have some nice money saved up because I want to buy a condo when I get back. I guess this is opportunity knocking, and I better get off my ass and welcome him in. I have a few things I know I need to fix in my life and I believe this will allow me to put 100% into fixing those area.
