For the past couple of days my computer has been acting as if it had a mind of its own. All of a sudden my internet browser was crashing within minutes of being opened and then my computer would decide to reboot at random times all on its own. I was convinced it was possessed because recently I have not visit any sites other than the normal ones I visit on daily basis, such as this one, and up until this point none of them have ever caused any problems for my computer. Also, I had not downloaded any software recently. So all of these strange things happening had me completely perplexed. However, I definitely knew something was wrong. This suspicion was further validated when I got the infamous blue screen. Yes, you heard me correctly. I said the infamous blue screen. Seeing this appear completely took me by surprise. I had thought that Microsoft had eliminated this indicator of system failure once XP was released. However, I guess this isn't really the case. I was also later informed by Pezmaster's father that he has also encountered the blue sign of computer death on two separate occasions. Once, on a computer that was running XP and another with Vista. I currently have Windows 7 and prefer to use Mozilla as my browser, instead of Internet Explorer.

Having all of these happen made me quite certain that something was indeed wrong with my computer, which I might add is under a year old. So the usual perpetrators popped into my mind, such as viruses, trojans, adware, and spyware. However, at this point I was completely frustrated at the whole situtation, so I decided to put my computer down for the night and deal with these issues when I was a little less frustrated.

So today I spent over 10 hours running various scans. Ranging from the typical virus scan to other programs to remove spyware and adware. Once doing all of this my suspicions were confirmed. I had all of these things eating away at my computer. I had four trojans, several viruses, and numerous instances of adware and spyware. I was so mad! I have no idea how I got all this stuff. So it is a complete mystery to me still.

My computer seems to be acting somewhat normal at the moment, but their is still a few things I need to do tomorrow to ensure everything is in good working order. I do not care what I have to do at this point as long as I do not have to reformat. I do not have the time or means to back everything up.

In the meantime, I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Pezmaster and I are taking Brandon to the circus on Sunday in Charleston. It is Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey's 200th anniversary, so they are putting on an extra special show in comparison to those from the past. Brandon has never been to anything like this or even to Charleston, which is quite a drive away for us. It is around two hours away. So Pezmaster and I are both apprehensive and anxious to see how he is going to react to all this new stimulation. It is going to be interesting! I am sure of that! We are taking several cameras with us, so once I return I will post lots of pictures for you guys to enjoy! I have glad I get the opportunity to do this special thing for Brandon, but I am so not looking forward to the smell of animal shit. That is the only thing I can remember from my first time at the circus at the age of 4 and Pezmaster agrees!
