Pretty bitchin' weekend and I'm sad to see it end. However, this opens the door for another awesome weekend to come along. 
Friday was an awesome guys day! Brunch at the usual and then video games and hanging out. Friday night my team won our second game of the season 3-1. Definitely excited by that. I hate to lose. Late Friday night was Gears of War 3 with a buddy. I couldn't wait to play!
Saturday morning I headed out to my sons soccer game and then went to take care of my brother's pets while he was out of town. So I drank a soda, watched some football and did my best to give them a semi normal day. Saturday afternoon my dad was released from the hospital so I went to visit him at home. Saturday afternoon/evening I spent gaming...again. Played Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine (still trying to get through the campaign) and then GoW3 with my buddy.
Sunday morning was a motorcycle ride with my buddies to the motorcycle swap meet in Long Beach. It felt good to ride for pleasure instead of commuting. The swap meet was good. Tons of bikes in the lot and plenty of vendors. The ride to our eating spot was just as enjoyable. Johnny Reb's (if you haven't eaten there, you should) was delicious as expected. I love that place! Finally topped off the night with some pizza with the niece, nephew, their mom and my buddy and then GoW3 again! Gotta love it!
So with a phenomenal weekend at an end, I've realized that yet again I've not stuck to my plan of getting certain things done around the house. Oh well, there's always another day.

It's a real page turner if you've read the earlier books in the series. I've read the Drizzt book explaining his origins where it takes place in the dark elf city underground, I really enjoyed it. Matriarchal society FTW lol.
