and we flew first class, baby kiss about damn time air canada dished out the perks, after all the overpriced tickets i've bought in the past. now i have a fancy silver card i wave around as much as possible. champagne before take-off and personal panasonic dvd players; foie gras and linen tablecloths. it's a whole different world on the other side of that curtain...

so far not too bad living with the 'rents. every day makes their child (my man) seem saner, as i wonder how he turned out so sensible when his mom is so loopy. cautionary example anyone? the suburbs are astonishingly flat compared to Old Europe, and any gripes i had about french fashion are laughable when confronted with this track-suit miasma. but i'm happy to be back, honest. to paaaaarrrrr-tay, dudes and dudettes!! biggrin

Awh man, that sounds like fun! The endorphins, not the puking or the triple-piercing extravaganza. Yowch. Maybe it's a trade-off of almost never puking - I think I'd take that over the endorphins anyway. smile

The tourist-apartment sounds like a brilliant plan! It's the comforts of a "Time Share", the convenience of a hotel.

I wasn't sure if you meant things which were originally shot in B&W and given color after the fact, or were from the age shortly after things quit being B&W and they advertised the joy of their being in "Technicolour".
