how strange is the internet
that i can see a list that tells me with whom i am friends and that i can not recognize all of the names on that list
banal curiosities

i have accepted a position of moderation in my feelings about 'the state of the world today.' no one is completely right or wrong. it seems that everyone looks for easy answers first and foremost. only much later, after personal trials, does anyone realize that there are no easy answers, and that anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. the blackv.s.white paradigm is not the answer.
have you ever found it necessary to just stop ~thinking~ about life? it's hard to write about what i mean because i just can't think about being alive. all that's left is to get on with it. when i think too much, i start painting myself into corners: how can i get along with others when they seem so insane? doesn't that mean everyone is intolerable? and then i forget about the ultimate integration of all-that-is, the one guiding principle of being alive. then i get freaked right out. eeek
so i just can't think about it. life needs to be dealt with in small portions, occasionally standing back to get a look at the overall pattern, but more often just micro-movements towards simple goals. i choose to not choose sides. i accept my total ignorance of how to best get along in the world. opinions are for suckers.

yes, i admit, i am performing self-analysis in more-or-less public. shameless, utterly shameless. no more so than getting nekkid? but it's me that's paying for it.

Here I am on page 2. Aren't *you* the bell of the ball today?

Yes, I followed a link to your journal from someone else's page about a month ago and put you on my friends list to keep track of you. I guess that makes me a lurker. It's not often you find someone blogging from Wallis and Fortuna. (sp?) It occurs to me now that I should have spoken up, but what could I possibly contribute to the Night Of The Swingers Club post?

Anyway, well me, friend. Always good to meet another Naussica fan. I liked it better than Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, which were supposed to be his masterworks, yet I seem to be the only person who's seen it. Go figure.

I imagine vegimite is something like anchovies in that it helps to be introduced to it in the proper context. The lunatic people who keep feeding it to me over the years give me a spoonful straight, which is a bit... well, not good at any rate. But I very much like anchovies in context, and I imagine if I were eating vegimite with something it could be something I'd really like.

I've been trying to read more on the chakras, I'm having a difficult time finding something that delves more into them than most books do. Any recommendations on the subject?

Speaking of studies...I see you also mention faeries in your "Into..." section. Yay biggrin That's something I've done a fair bit of studying in, historically and otherwise.
