The last couple of days have been pretty cool. Saturday night, some friends and I went out to a hookah bar, this time Meridian Hookah Lounge (which is better than Medici Cigar Bar for smoking hookah). My favorite flavor of the night was the Bacardi Hardi.

I started using the aspirin mask that I found on the Girl's Only forum and it really does work! I would recommend it to people with acne and oily skin--also with those of you who have acne scars and oily skin.

Aspirin Mask

Aspirin contains BHA (Beta hydroxy acid) which is a powerful defoliant and great at helping unclog pores and clear blemishes. It's recommended that you use the Aspirin mask / scrub once a week.

Step 1: Take 6 - 8 uncoated aspirin tablets in cup or bowl and crush them in to a powder.

Step 2: Add a few drops of warm/hot water, allow vera gel or honey, now stir until you have a thick white paste. You may need to add more water to achieve the right consistency.

Step 3: Spread over your entire face, sit back and relax for 10-15 minutes. You'll know when 15 minutes is up as the mask is likely to start falling off your face.

Step 4: Wash off the mask with warm water and a gentle cleanser, as you wash gently massage, the grains will help exfoliate and reveal softer, glowing skin.

Step 5: Gently pat your face dry.


Things with the "in-laws" are going better so both Jon and I are happier people. We had dinner at their place last night and damn can Jon's dad grill! I had the best smoked, baby back ribs ever last night.

Oh also, recently I watched two very good movies on dvd (that I rented from the library): Big Fish and Everything is Illuminated. I watch around five movies a week now. I also just started watching 30 Rock on dvd, which is ok.

P.S. I am having a photo shoot this Tuesday where I'll be wearing my costume in front of high traffic, lol.

i love the asprin mask, but have lately been doing honey+brown sugar+ extra virgin olive oil scrub and it has been treating my skin nicely.

oh and i loved big fish, and have never seen Everything is Illuminated.

Have you seen the movie "sin nombre" it's out on dvd. I think you may like it blush
