Old Dirty Bastard from the WU TANG CLAN died last night in his Manhatten studio at the age of 35, after complaining of chest pains. He would have been 36 tomorrow. AKA, Russell Jones was found dead before paramedics arrived and the cause of death is not clear at this time.
Jones recently finished a prison sentence for drug possession and escaping a rehab clinic
. Dirt McGirt, Big Baby Jesus, etc. etc. was a founding member of the WU TANG CLAN and has been described by the RZA as a "one of a kind person...artist...and a very rare commodity." It is believed that upwards of a dozen children succeed him; friends and family mourn the passing of not only a unique and talented artist but loving father, brother, uncle and son.
