dogs run like cars and pills administered with water or
crushed with a spoon then sprinkled in something smooth
self medicating lately, making mistakes made by you
i came back to fix things but can't stand to be what makes you happy
it's not what you think

so now it's time to change something
like leaves in late october dying to be green in june
we wait for rain and sun but hurry-canes come like senior citizens carrying one,
slow in orthopedic shoes uncertainly wading through what seems like eternity to ruin the sands of florida and die by the light of the moon
