Paul Weller last night, work today.

Weller was excellent as always, even if the crowd took a while to get into it. Nearly got into a fight with a Brit who didn't understand why everyone wasn't going apeshit. I gradually came to understand where he was coming from, but pushing people and forcing your way ahead of them isn't usually the best way to get people in the mood.

Weller has aged fairly gracefully, but he needs to do something about his beer gut.

Speaking of Pauls, I was somewhat stunned to discover that Paul McCartney's latest is actually quite good. If you love The Beatles, but have given up on Fab Macca, give this one a listen. I like it more every time I put it on, and there are actually songs that grab me and make me want to go back for repeated listens, which for me hasn't happened with a McCartney album in ages.
