Everyone's loving Britpop all over again.

I'm not sure if it's because of all the great music coming out of the UK these days or that it's just ten years on and time for a big ol' nostalgia fest. Either way, lots of music mags are reassessing the 90s Britpop boom, which, if nothing else, makes for some fairly interesting reading.

And which got me in the mood to fill my morning almost exclusively with choons by Pulp, Gene, Echobelly, Sleeper, Oasis, Blur, Suede, Supergrass, et al.

Ah, what I'd give for a new Pulp record...

was in a bar the other day when 'this is hardcore' came on and i remembered how great pulp are. sometimes it's good to be reminded of such delights! and how wonderful to live in a world so full of delights that some can be forgotten...

in other news, have just had your preview pointed out to me and am liking it. greatly. can't wait to see more! more importantly am liking the nature of your journal, and would like to add you in order to keep abreast of Cool Stuff if this is ok?

I think it has more to do with the fact that so much kick ass music is coming from the UK moreso than nostalgia or anything else. I'm up for listening to music from anywhere yet nearly everything I play these days seems to have its roots across the pond.
