I'm so immature....

I'm watching the Olympics today, and the announcers keep turning me into a 13 year old.
Beach vollyball, talking about a girl's defensive abilities - "She's gobbled a lot of balls this week."
Swimming, women's breast stroke - "She's one of the best female breast strokers around today."

See, just stupid stupid shit that makes me giggle like Beavis. Oh, God help...

Lol!
Chicken-substitute soup might work for some vegetarians (they have all that 'tastes like chicken/beef/whatever' veggie stuff), but not for me - I actually don't like the taste of meat... and I can't have soy on this detox thing...
But... looking at what you've been offering to make me, I'm starting to think you are trying to kill me.
It's ok, at least you are not sneaking penicillin in my food biggrin

OK, must get butt in gear... I've procrastinated for 4 hours already!

FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like I haven't already been replacing my entire engine, piece by piece, now it's my water pump that's taken a crap on me. Nothing like driving across town and actually watching your engine temp raise up into and over the red!
It's gonna cost an arm and a leg to replace the stupid thing, and I ain't exactly made of money these days.

You having an identity crisis?
bohogirl:
Dude!
I'm so with you on that procrastination thing... you first though.

Can you actually believe I took a 4 hour nap and the only reason I did get up at 6:30 pm is because I had to go watch friend's kids?
Could have easily slept through... and should probably stop procrastinating and go to sleep now
(this is like the second time this came up - I actually procrastinate on taking naps and going to sleep...)

So what'd you do today?

bohogirl:
Let me quote the cat: WTF?
What's all that editing about?
What tricks?

Haven't been watching the Olympics... might have something to do with the whole 'haven't been watching TV since the stupid accident' thing. But I read all about it the next day - does that count?

So, what'd you have planned for the weekend?

Olymipc Thoughts
As I watch the Olympics this year, I look back at what could have been my entry into that world, and how it was snatched out from under me. The year was 1989. I was a freshman at Casa Grande High School. There was no pool at our school, so any swimming had to be done at the Petaluma Swim Center. A number...

Morning!

Why must I be productive today?
I would so much rather play...
bohogirl:
This evening, I will be banging my head against the wall and trying to inflict as much damage to my brain as possible biggrin

But seriously, weeknights are 'no hangout' time for me - or I should say, recovery time - I have all this crap I have to do at the gym and blah blah blah, and then I take like milion years every evening to recover from it and get my neck/back back in acceptable condition.
It's really super rare that I do anything during the week (well, especially since I nap all the time, then stay up half of the night)

But one day...

(when the hell is 'one day' - I keep hearing about it, but it's nowhere on my calendar... I'm starting to think my docs are full of it!)

Industrious Clock

You gotta check this out. This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. It's just a clock, but damn it's awesome. It'll take a sec for dial-up to load, but it's worth it!

umm... how about "I'm in Santa Rosa, not Brooklin"? that kind of beats any and all other reasons!

I've been talking about having a neighborhood garage sale for years... then I moved onto 'get all my friends and have a big garage sale'...
Instead, they know me by name at our local Salvation Army... and get big grins when they see me coming

(the point of the story... I pretend to be a humanitarian when in fact, I'm just lazy tongue )

Cool Olympic Moment Of The Day

AC/DC's 'Highway To Hell' heard playing at the US vs Australia Beach Vollyball game.

Un-Cool Olympic Moment Of The Day

If a country invents a sport, shouldn't they damn well at least try to win the fucking thing? I just watched America get trounced by Australia in the Beach Vollyball prelims. How the hell can that happen??? It's just...

Morning buddy!
I was up to no good, as I usually am on Sunday night... except, this Sunday, I was up to no worse... (guess that would be 'up to no good more than usual).

Ow my head skull

Well, hell. If nobody else is going to the movie, then I ain't a-goin, either. I spent all day moving furniture, and I am beat (but not in the good way).
Erich go bye-bye now...
ooo aaa
redpixie:
hmm, maybe you should consider not putting up the lights? lol...Vodka is good...but Jeager is better biggrin
bohogirl:
Why don't we have a crying emoticon?

Yah... I'm not doing anything either and not only that, I will suffer for the rest of my life for it - the 'not fun, couldn't remember what it was thing' was a friend's high school reunion... and I was supposed to go with her and be her support system because she hates most of those people but had to go (long story).
But... smart as I am, I decided that it wouldn't kill me to have just a tiny bit of wheat (and I'm telling you, I have never ever in my entire life wanted anything more than a tiny little bite of bread today). So I did - literally a square inch of sourdough roll. I mean, how bad can that be?
Can you guess the rest of it?
Yup! Big mistake... huge! I don't think I've ever been as sick in my life... and my tummy hurts in a really weird way (not, you know, your regular digestive pains - this is something straight out of Alien). Needless to say, I'll be praying to the detox gods and begging their forgivness for the rest of the night puke

btw, I guess this experience answers the question I've been pondering... you know the one: 'just how bad would it be to have a drink or two during detox?'
(but, damn it, I don't care if I don't really drink or enjoy alcohol - when this thing is over with, I will drink myself into oblivion and do my best not to sober up for at least 48 hours! so, make sure you have at least 1.5 oz of vodka biggrin )

Get Behind Celebrating Anal Sex Month

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- Here's a holiday we can all get behind: August is "National Anal Sex Month."

For the last three years, the Good Vibrations sex toy shop in San Francisco has celebrated August as "Anal Sex month" because, as spokeswoman Niki Khanna says, "the month has a lot of A's."

Khanna believes having a whole month...

Yeah, me too - Worf had me at 'agh' love
(I also had a thing for Picard, of course, and Data... god, the fun I would have had on that ship... oh, and Vulcans with their logic, couple of Borg, Seven of Nine... ok, enough of that, getting hot and bothered here... not that that's a bad thing, but I'm about 10 minutes away from being dead asleep)

My ridges don't look cool like theirs do... they just hurt like hell! blackeyed
bohogirl:
I thought we'd have our paint sessions once we get the SGBPAC opened whatever

And if I were to let you hide out with me, you'd be dead in like, 12 minutes (by my hand of course)... you thought I was joking when I mentioned being a space-person. Dead serious, minimum of 6 alone hours a day, not counting being asleep (imagine how difficult it was being married!) or I go totally psycho-bitch!

But, if I won the lottery, I'll buy you your own hideaway, ok?

Anniversary Day

10 years ago today, right about this time of day, I was at Fort Hood, Texas, filling out my discharge papers. By 4 pm (Texas time), I was on my way to the airport, a civilian. By 8 pm (real time), I was back in California, free to do whatever I wanted, to enjoy the real world again.
Granted, my life hasn't turned...

Hey, tell me about your knee. Is there nothing they can do for it?
I must tell you, I am not where I ever thought I would be right now in life. What was your major job or duty in the army? smile

Oh, I met this red head the other night. I just got my camera phone, so no pics but you would have just about died. You know, I live in Ireland. I think you need to take a trip and if it is well organized we could both be in the land of red.... ahhh ...I mean um.. Greeen biggrin
The local bar here in Adams Morgan in DC called Madam's Organ has a running special for Rolling Rock for red heads only. biggrin biggrin biggrin
