Spending the weekend at my Dad's for late x-mas & his birthday.
Sis gets a nice gift. Niece gets a nice gift. Nephew gets a nice gift. Dad & step-mom get nice gifts. Everything given was a nice, well-thought-out gift, that means something to the recipient.

I get a check for forty bucks.

my Dad gave me nothing for Christmas. he did come over for dinner, or I should say stopped by after bartending for hours and was completely cocked, didn't really eat, but wasn't an ass either, so I think I'm ahead of the game. actually I'm pretty happy he showed up at all, it does mean a lot to me. a check for 40 bucks woulda been nice too though.
