Well, things did not go exactly as planned and now things really aren't going to go exactly as planned. We didn't get to Ottawa this week, as over the weekend the mother got sick. Luckily this time it didn't get to the point where she had to go to the ER like some of the other times. That just has to do with my mother's history and what happened to her but that's a longer story. So most of this week was very slow I found. Yesterday I went downtown to the HMV superstore, Sunrise, and rock zone and managed to spend a bunch o money. Luckily all the crap I bought was overstock (007 live and let die and the island) or on sale (crank, death by stereo). I did manage to find that cd that was put out on record store day by poison the well that has the tracks from all three of those EP's they put out for 8.99 and they still have some copies at the Sunrise on Dundas so that was awesome as hell.
Managed to finish Fool by Christopher moore and started Neuropath by Scott Bakker today. Also picked up my ticket for 10 for 10 august 11th cause that will be fun. My family got some news though that may mean I may now not be able to go. One of my mother's brother's died today, he was the youngest of 4 and no one saw it coming. As a result my mother and father are driving down to Ottawa to help the family cope, while I stay behind and hold down the fort and my sister comes back on the weekend for her job here. I am not really affected at all because I haven't seen or talked with him in about 10-12 years. Its still very shocking, but now plans have to be made regarding the funeral and whatnot, which I will most likely be going to for ottawa for shortly. This means that the previous plans to harass the various places of employment are canceled for this year. This may also mean that my plans to go to 10 for 10 or thrash and burn may get wrecked. I hope this isnt the case but we'll see what happens. It's probably very callous of me to be concerned with such things and if that makes me a bad person then so be it.
