Birthday

Birthdays are supposed to be a happy time right?! I mean they used to be. In under a week I’ll be 36 and I’m really wishing I could just skip the day all together. Isolated in a small town with no friends, a year since my fiancé left, and this will be the first time I won’t hear my mother’s voice sending good wishes. How does one make the best of that situation? Cause I’m seriously asking, any suggestions are completely welcomed…
