This is me taking a break from not studying for midterms I will most likely ace tomorrow, despite never opening a book or paying much attention in class. I guarantee that it will be very unfulfilling.

I am not an easy person to motivate. People often describe me as lazy or underachieving, and I cannot blame them. This may make me sound like an egotist but most things in life come fairly easily to me. I could likely accomplish something useful or important; sadly there is no joy in pursuing things that come so easily.

I can honestly say that the activities I enjoy most are the ones I often fail at. Academics? A breeze. Talking to people? For some reason they find me charming. But you hand me a hammer and tell me to go build something, I will end up with two sore thumbs, a pile of splinters, and a content feeling that comes with being challenged.

Who needs a PhD when you can be a carpenter? Just, uh, don't stand under anything I build.
