Right so, rather than working in dead end jobs for the remainder of my natural life, me and a couple friends are trying our hands at entrepenuerialism. We started out trying to carve a niche in the always oversaturated web design community; some schmo hawking his shit to millions of pliant consumers. That wasn't really working out , too many people with too much of a head start. So we started pursuing oddball "technology solutions". Databases for businesses and what not. By some great chance we hooked up with this guy who was interested in something we've been kicking around; temporary remote video camera surveillance. The idea is to place a sealed linux box at a location that acts as digital video recorder and web server, we connect wireless digital video cameras, and can archive and upload images and video from anywhere in the world.

Anyway, it seems best suited for property managers with vacant units, protect against vandalism and squatting. The few salesguys i've talked about this to seem to think it'd sell like hotcakes, problem is before we can marketa plug and play system we need somebody to take a leap of faith and let us build a test sytem for them.

just thougt i'd drop this line out into one of the few communities I have any attachement to. insight, networking (social ) suggestions, purchase orders and whatnot are welcome.
