i know i said this yesterday but i am maintaining the coolness of the nokia 6800:

what happens when you flip the phone open is absurdly cool-- check out the 360 demo... love

hopefully tomorrow i can go see one in person and seriously consider moving to AT&T...

Heh, has texting really caught on over there? It's been possible for a few years now but I haven't seen it catching on here.

Canada is not that much different, Quebec is. Something about most of us speaking French and such.

Texting has been very popular where the cost of actually calling was prohibitive since it's usually a flat rate per message. It's also popular with pay-as-you-go type phone setup such as is very popular in Europe (where people have cell phone that have no credit in them since call received are billed to the caller, not the receiver.)

In the US and Canada where the average phone plan is something like 400 minutes + evening and week-end unlimited + voice mail + a few extras for like 30-40$ a month, things are somewhat different. Texting is cool, cute or funny, not cheaper.
