epiphany

trying to explain that i'm half japanese can sometimes be a total pain in the ass. most people don't see it (japanese people definitely don't see it), so they look confused. i think my big round head and my eyes should give it away. i think the fact that my last name is german sometimes causes more confusion, especially on those forms where you fill out your ethnicity but you can only check one box.

i really don't want to stand around in a court house all day waiting for my possible jury duty, but i figure that once i walk into the court house and they see me and i open my mouth, they won't really want me anyway. i'm hoping that by showing up i'll get off the hook for jury duty for a long ass time.
