Over the last couple of days I have been going on some sort of "spiritual retreat." By that, I mean by participating in drumming, meditation, and fasting and inducing some sort of trance.

Through the last few days I have learned. I have learned about myself, what I think about when I think of personal privacy and thought, slowing our thought processes down and putting ourselves in sync with our conscious winds.

It really is important to participate in such activities if only at the minimal participation. Such spiritual treks cause our human thought to think such things but the real battle is when we come back to "reality" and we have to continuosly and creatively re-enact trance-like thought processes to keep ourselves satisfied.

Call me crazy, it's just what I've realized.

I feel that there are things I will no longer do because of this previous experience.

It's really quite interesting how such simple sacrifices can cause such tranquil yet chaotic thoughts that change our lives.

The next thing I'm interested in is sleep-deprivation. I've heard mixed reviews about it which makes me sometimes "chicken out." I've heard that people can die from sleep deprivation but I've also heard that although "physically" we are awake our conscious tends to shut completely down causing dreams or hallucinogenic states. What's interesting about that is that our "physical reality" is doing the exact opposite of what our "mental reality" is doing (one is awake, one is asleep) Which brings up the question, "Which one is reality?"

hey, I over reacted. But still, do a search, because someone always will throw a fit. I wouldn't have said a thing if it had been any other subject. But there are a few threads comparing Iraq to Viet Nam, I've posted my opinions there and didn't feel like going through it all again, researching the facts, etc.

Like that guy I confronted in your thread, pulling "we trained the Viet Minh" out of his ass. ugh

anyway, sorry, I'll try and tread more lightly in the future
