It seems to be the case that popular opinion is that everything digital is better, but I would have to disagree. "Better" is a such a relative word; so, it really depends on what the application of the circuit is.
Anyway, sometimes I feel sorry for analog circuits because it seems like they are often forgotten about. With that said, I am going to list some of my favorite analog circuits, systems and devices:
Colpitts crystal oscillator
LM 741 operational amplifier
LM 311 operational amplifier
SiGe HEMFETs
Bose Wave Radio
Gilbert Band-gap Reference
Schottkey diode (for it's inherent simplicity)
Gunn diode
Widlar current mirror
