She died yeaterday of parvo.
She lives over at my boyfriend's house and his friend, the one with 3 DWI's (see before entry) is her real owner and was supposed to take care of her. He never got her shots and yesterday she just passed out and was bleeding. I rushed her to the vet but the one in Bernalillo was closed and she died on the way to the vet in Rio Rancho.
I've never seen anything die before. It was an...experience, though I'm not sure what kind.

To answer your questions though, I'm a physician, a resident in pathology. 4-year bachelor's + 4 years of medical school + 4 years of pathology residency (I'm finishing my first year of residency now). 95% of the time, I totally love what I do.
